Ajmejia - Your solution may work for a deployed selectserver, but for any company using a hosted selectserver there is no way for selectserver to resolve all your machine hostnames (unless you give every single one a static public IP address) so controlling client access by hostname, or by private IP is impossible. The only thing you can do with client access on hosted selectserver is limit access to the external IP of your NAT firewall/router, which will at least ensure that only machines on your actual site can use your activation key (we appear to have had some usage recorded against a host not on our corporate network so are trying to implement this at present - unfortunately the hosted selectserver seems to be broken and won't let me apply these per Custom Activation Group but it seems to work for the main site key)
