Hi stuartw, these are all great questions! It is important to note that owned perpetual licenses are not going away and the value of a perpetual license is not diminishing. One of the purposes of a Quarterly Term License is to add license counts to your portfolio when you need it, without the need to purchase a full license. This option is great if you have project based, cyclical, periodic use in excess of what you already own. Usage that will be more constant or continuos (or longer than 7 quarters) would probably benefit from the purchase of a perpetual license instead of taking advantage of the QTL. It will be up to each individual account to determine (based on software needs) whether purchasing a license, taking advantage of a QTL, or both will be the best route. The rate of a Quarterly Term License if you opt into Open Access is 14% of the cost of a perpetual license while the Basic Access rate is 16%. As I stated in a previous post, we are currently working on a mechanism to allow visibility to perpetual pricing for products.
