Overview

Bentley’s Home Use Licensing Program has been updated as of January 1, 2013 to only utilize Bentley’s latest, key-based licensing technology. For details regarding this update, please click here. Software is activated against the SELECTserver OnLine Home Use license server.

To obtain a Home Use License, a user's web login must have the Site Administrator or Home Use License Manager Role. 

Obtaining Home Use License Info 

1. Navigate to the SELECTservices Website: http://selectservices.bentley.com.
2. From the Support page click on License Tool under Account Management.
    
3. A Multi-Site Administrator will have to select the site they wish to view, otherwise the Administrator is taken direcly to the License Tool page.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the main page of the License Tooland click on Request Home Use under Distributed Licenses.

5. If an activation key has previously been generated for the account, the Site, Server name and Activation key will be displayed. Select Resend existing key radio button.

6. If an activation key has not been previously generated for the account, you will see the following message below the terms and conditions.

7. Above the Home Use Key area and below the Terms and Conditions area, select the check box next to I agree to these terms and conditions.
   

8. Enter your email address.

• Click the Send It button to send the email containing the Home Use License Information.
  

*Please note if Generating a New Key or Regenerating a Key it may take up 2-4 hours for the server to update.  If there is a problem with the key, please contact Technical Support.*
