We agree 100%. The "canned" response to your initial question (that is dated from 2012) is not a true response. What we are asking for is a simple software notification to our users at the time they open the software that by proceeding forward, they will need to incur additional cost on behalf of our Company. The users of CADD software do not have this purchasing authority and are therefore violating Company policy by incurring costs without approval but have no way of doing that due to Bentley's choice to ignore this issue. It should be a VERY simple solution but Bentley chooses not to in order to "entrap" us into incurring additional costs. We have had to waste effort every Quarter arguing with a Regional Sales Representative, then a Director of Regional Sales, and even his Supervisor. So Bentley, with the additional time spent arguing this unfortunate licensing model, the new question is how does this fulfill your stated "premise that licensing should not interrupt the legitimate user from getting his work done" ? (BTW - the time spent on this reply interrupted me from getting my true work done).
